We are a friendly family run business
based in South Shields, Tyne and Wear. We have been manufacturing
made-to-measure window blinds for over 30 years and have a wealth
of experience and knowledge to assist you in your purchase.
Established in 1975, Solar Solve Ltd (our parent company, previously
known as NWBC) is the world leader in the design, development
and manufacture of specialist, retractable, solar shades and fabric
roller blinds for the marine industry.
In 30 years, we have grown from a small business to
an international company trading in more than 30 countries.
Over the years we have manufactured more than 60,000 shades,
which have been installed on 6,000 vessels worldwide.
Trading under the new name Sun Shade Systems,
the company now employs 20 staff to deal with the
growing demand from the residential and commercial market.
We are members of the British Blind & Shutter
Association (BBSA), we hold Investors in People (IIP) accreditation,
and all our products are manufactured according to our
Quality Management System.
Our company philosophy is to offer exceptional quality,
reliable products and outstanding service, and to be responsive
to customer needs.
We have remained true to our roots though,
offering a personal service and continuing to make our relationship
