General: To the west,
it borders Portugal. To the south, it borders
Gibraltar and Morocco. To the northeast, along
the Pyrenees mountain range, it borders France
and the tiny principality of Andorra. It includes
the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea,
the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, the
cities of Ceuta and Melilla in north Africa, and
a number of uninhabited islands on the Mediterranean
side of the strait of Gibraltar, known as Plazas
de soberanía.

euro banknotes have a common design for each denomination
on both sides. Notes are issued in the following

Spanish or Castilian is an Iberian Romance language,
and the fourth most widely spoken language in
the world according to some sources, while other
sources list it as the 2nd or 3rd most spoken
language. It is spoken as a first language by
about 352 million people.
